When someone you dearly love is dying, you reflect more often and realize how unimportant some things are in life. The need to rush, whatever this may be for you — the need to be right goes away more often, and you let the arguer easily win — the need to people please and impress those around you sways — and many other life intricacies take a back seat that aren’t relevant to actual breathing, living and loving. Love really is the answer to all things, the one thing that takes the drivers seat or should at least. Love for yourself, and love for others no matter what the story is, or was, or is to become. Michelle was this (and much more) to all of us that knew her. Yes it’s true that not everyone’s black and white is the same, but it’s knowingly important to always leave room for it. I genuinely loved this dearest soul from the moment I met her, nothing would’ve kept us from meeting at some point. Like Michelle has said to me, “we found our way to each other” — her sister like bond and friendship has left a lasting impression on my heart (and many others), so much so that I will carry her love with me every day forward. I’m so grateful for all the memories, the heartfelt talks and for what this beautiful human has instilled in my heart. A gift to have known Michelle and shared some special times before she left us.
